Realizing When to Adjust Your Mindset

I have a separate project that typically captures the majority of my disposable time in the fall months. It’s a hobby I really enjoy and am passionate about, but sometimes I’ll catch myself falling into a dangerous pattern of thinking regarding it’s future success or lack there of. The project is a separate blog on the University of Michigan’s college football team. I grew up going to games with my father and watching them on TV, so naturally I became passionate about it as I also played football while in high school.

The “Someday” Thought

Many of us that don’t have extreme skills to visualize what the future will be like – as a consequence of today, tomorrow and the next day. I’ve totally fallen into the “someday” thought process, which is a rather easy trap to fall into.

The Pursuit of Excellence

For whatever reason, lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the desire and longing to find excellence. It’s a desire that some people have and some people don’t. I mean, sure, if I stop people on the street and ask them if they want to be excellent at life and at what they do – I’m sure just about every person would, in some way or another, would say “yes”. I’ll say it. I want to be excellent.

An Overdue Review of “The Book of Awesome”!
