Be the Best at What You Do

Today is your lucky day! I chose two quotes that go great together. These two quotes compliment each other very well.
“You can do anything, but not everything.”
“Excellence is the gradual result of always wanting to do better.”
Initial Thoughts
It seems that the people that are really successful and truly happy, are the ones that are good at asking the right questions and taking a unique approach. Additionally, truly happy and successful people seem to offer value in very specific ways. When I read these quotes, I also think of destiny. Some people know early and quickly in their life what it is they want to do. Most don’t, and these quotes can be a part of many influences that can guide you to find your life’s path and how you can achieve true excellence.
Digging Deeper
The reason these quotes are very complimentary, is because a combination of focus (1st quote) and determination (2nd quote) is coming into play. If you talk to a person that has achieved a level of excellence at their occupation or expertise – chances are, they have an interesting, lengthy story of how they got to where they are today. And why is that? That is the case because when you always want to do better, improve, and be the best at what you do – your approach becomes unique. Wanting to do better, and consistently leveraging that desire into taking action, means that you try new tricks in your trade, question the routine, question your processes, etc. Doing so enables growth, and reduces stagnation over time.
When you find your ‘anything’, the thing that you are great at and have intense passion for – your opportunity for achieving excellence is much greater. When you have an intense level of focus, your energy is streamlined. Losing momentum and focus, is often a misuse of your energy and ultimately, over time, prohibits you from achieving excellence.
What to Walk Away With
The little things count. Details, questions, focus, and determination. You must practice working on these qualities and attributes. Even if you aren’t satisfied with your place in life, your career, profession, etc. – thinking about these things may help you pick up some momentum relative to your passions and dreams. Understand that you can be absolutely the best at what you do. You can’t be the best at everything, but you can most certainly be the very best at what you do. And if you are on my site, no doubt do you have an interest in achieving excellence, your desire over time will deliver!

What up!
We all have the capacity for greatness. Anything we want to achieve in life can be possible if we put our energies on it. Unfortunately, most people focus their energies on self doubt and expectations; no wonder few are successful.
Walter,
Thanks for the comment! I agree with your points – if you believe it you can achieve it. And that’s a true story.
