How to Find Your Passion Through Life Experiences

It is a goal for most people to find and follow their passion in life. Not always is it easy or natural for people to find exactly that one thing that makes them tick, that makes them get emotional, that instills the utmost degree of passion in that individual’s life. Wouldn’t it be nice if you were perfectly happy with your career? If you loved your work? Maybe you do, but chances are that you don’t. So what do you do? How do you get out of a rut? How do you have confidence in where you are going, in what’s next? These are tough questions for anybody to address.
How do you go about finding out your true passion? Here are a few quick ways of what you can do to get that much closer in your journey.
- Experience. Experience. Experience.
You must put yourself in situations that you haven’t been in before in your life. Your life is made up of what you have experienced – it’s very simple. The more you experience, the more you learn about who you are as a person. Ultimately, you’ll learn enough about yourself to understand exactly what your passion is and what you ultimately want to pursue in your life. Go the extra mile – do and participate in things that you normally wouldn’t even think about being a part of. - Surround Yourself With the Right People.
You want to ensure that the people around you will help you manifest positivity and progress. Your interactions with friends, family and others can each be viewed as a learning process. You begin to focus on what other’s are passionate about and how they, in a sense, made it happen. Again, you’ll be amazed at how quick people are to help you. There are great people all around you that would find great pleasure in sharing their knowledge with you. - Think and Be Proactive.
You have the be the catalyst in finding your passion and involving yourself in various experiences. A reason that many people never do find and follow their passion is laziness. They know what they want, but they don’t do what it takes to go get it. Maybe they don’t want it bad enough – and so be it if that’s the case. Focus on being proactive in the way you think – understand that your actions and behavior are a direct result of the information that you consume. So put yourself in situations that enable you to gather additional information on what your passion might be by simply making a conscious effort THINK about it.

What up!
thanks for this! i definitely agree with point #1: experience life! in the past i’ve spent a lot of time planning, worrying, thinking ahead. it’s not really necessary for most things. just try it out or take a first step. this has really helped me
Steve,
I, of course, agree with you! Just making a move or taking a first step can be a great learning experience!
