Getting Rid of Negative Thoughts
How many times have you read or been told that your stress and problems would be solved or helped if you would just – think positive! Get rid of those negative thoughts that pollute your brain and input some positive, constructive thoughts!
The bottom line is that some people have a tendency to think negatively and some people have a tendency to do just the opposite. And, fact of the matter is, positive thinking people are happier, typically more successful, and are certainly more enjoyable to be around.
Getting rid of negative thoughts is imperative when you are trying to do any of the following things…
- Attract others, opposite sex or anyone for that matter
- Advance in your career
- Have solid friendships
- Make new friendships
- Be creative
- Be spontaneous
- Be resourceful and creative
That is a short list and could be much, much longer.
Improve Your Attitude
Take a look at your general attitude – can you improve your attitude?. Is it something that another person would want to mirror? Is it contagious? If it is – then that is great and you probably don’t need to worry about getting rid of negative thoughts as you most likely don’t have many!
Your attitude is your choice. My father always used to tell me as a kid, that there is one thing you can control when you roll out of bed every morning – and that is your attitude.
Life is all about choices. When get to the bottom of every single action and thing you do – it all boils down to choices that you make. You choose how to respond and react to situations in life. You choose to be in a good mood or a bad mood – and at the end of the day – how you live your life is your choice. Let’s say that again…
How you live your life is your choice.
Knock out the negativity in your life, flip the script, and get on with living a better life!

What up!
Thanks for that – I just had a real a-ha moment about my attitude! I try and work on self improvement every day, but I just uncovered a big source of feelings of shame.
It was my mother telling me off as a child for my bad attitude – I felt ashamed of my attitude.
I just realised that I still feel that shame of my attitude today – I think it has really been holding me back! This is going to be something I turn around and make something I am proud of: A good healthy positive attitude.
Thank you!
Your Dad is a very wise man! Our attitude is our choice. Your article reminded me of a man named Viktor E Frankl. His book MANS SEARCH FOR MEANING covers the topic of our control over our attitude. Being a Jew in a concentration camp, he had first hand experience with this. Amazing!
I look forward to reading your thoughts and I also appreciate that you are doing something positive!
