Intro: This was initially one post listing out 20 great methods or things you can use to find inspiration in your life. I have decided to expand upon each one because so often we read “how-to’s” and different things we should do in list forms – and typically no action is ever taken. I wanted to talk in more detail about how I interpret and get inspired by each one.

#20 – Share

For a long period in my life I was more of an introvert, are still am to some degree. If I am trying to overcome a challenge or work through a problem, I typically keep it to myself and do what I have to do to get it resolved or taken care of.

I’ve recently become a huge fan of sitting down for coffee with friends or family to discuss thoughts, feelings, dreams, desires, goals, opinions, etc. First of all, for many it is difficult to even talk about these things because we can either feel a sense of embarrassment or they may fire up emotions that don’t get sparked too often. So the natural path of least resistance is simply to not talk or share.

But if you do share – you’ll be amazed at how inspired you may become to take action. The more you talk about your ultimate dreams and goals – the closer they become to a reality. The more you talk about insecurities – all of a sudden you don’t even think about them anymore. You open up your mind in multiple ways. Life is a constant learning process and by sharing, you are inadvertently teaching yourself, gaining critical feedback, and ultimately laying the groundwork for what you should do next.

Sharing can be a wonderful vehicle for inspiration, motivation, education and action.
