My name is Mike Weaver. I’m 27. I was laid off in May of 2009 and became inspired to do something unconventional with my life. I have always had a desire to write and do some good in this world – so I’ve decided to create a vehicle for me to do exactly that. Life experiences, meeting influential people, traveling throughout all of Europe and Central America, and my father have all given me a basis and a perspective on life that I believe is something of value and I want to share it.
I was blessed with a gift of perspective (some may say it’s more of a consistent intention), which influences my writing in a big way. The power of understanding and determining your mental state on a daily basis, your attitude, how you treat other people, and getting the most out of life are some things that I’ll continue to write about.
And the name. Find Inspiration Today. Inspiration is arm-in-arm with positive thinking. I can find inspiration in so many things – nature, kids that have no care in the world, a good quote, a picture, art, family dynamics, change – and it goes on and on and on. It’s consciously seeing and recognizing such things in your life that make you go, make you feel, and make you take action.
A few facts about me…
- I’ve lived in 4 mid-western states: Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio
- I spent 6 weeks backpacking through Europe and ten days traveling through Guatemala and Honduras
- I’m a huge fan of college football – so much so I have a blog on my favorite team
- I’ve ran one half-marathon – and plan to run a second in about 5 weeks
- In 2006 I graduated from the University of Dayton
- I believe with the right attitude – anybody can achieve what they want
- I dream of writing for a living and sharing inspirational stories from world travels
- I love my bean juice – you know, coffee! As you can see with the coffee cup to your relative right – every donated dollar gets me closer to my dream of sharing more inspiration from around the world with you. Donate here!

You are very wise to be so young…attitude is everything. I quit askiing “why” along time ago and looked for the lesson, lived through the pain, shared my joy, smile more than I cry, do both to stay healthy, shared everything I can, give more, always look for how I can help, more than being helped, but learn to accept the help of others…it’s what we learn after we know it all that counts. My parents got smarter as I got older. Never hold a grug and do not be afraid to ask forgiveness.
