Your Dad was right; no matter what is going on in your life, the attitude with which you approach it will determine the quality ofyour life. I have friends who some would label as severely disabled, who have overcome great challenges and yet are joyful, loving and inspirational people. Others who have no physical limitations can wallow in negativity. I think it's always a choice. I choose to serve, to love, and to uplift and my motto is "Be Fired Up!" Many people think they need to "put on" a positive attitude and their wishes will be granted. Putting on attitude isn't the same a believing at a soul deep level in "how" you receive life's worst and best events. At the darkest and scariest time in my life, I had that aha moment when I was guided to letting go and just receiving. I learned to change my attitude to one of appreciation and gratitude for the smallest things and to open the doors as they were presented. Behind each door was an adventure that led to another even better adventure. I learned to say "thank you" for every opportunity regardless of the challenge. I "looked for" the opportunity in every challenge. Guess what, I found opportunity everywhere. Attitude: open your door everyday, look outside as you walk through the portal and say thank you for this amazing day. Even if you are walking out into a wild thunderstorm without an umbrella....it is still the most amazing day! If you think about it, LOA is all about attitude.
